In Loving Memory of John 'Jack' Murtaugh Sr.

August 17, 1951 – June 15, 2024

With great sadness, we announce the passing of John Murtaugh Sr., who left us on the 15th of June, 2024, at the age of 72. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, John was a pillar of strength and devotion within his family.

John leaves behind his cherished sister, Dawn Murtaugh-Sutcliffe. He will be forever remembered and profoundly missed by his children, John Jr., Tara, and Michael Murtaugh. His loving presence will also be deeply missed by his nephew, Daniel McCarrie, and his adoring grandchildren, Erin Murtaugh and Gabriel Barry.

John's legacy is one of unwavering love, compassion, and generosity. His guidance and wisdom will continue to inspire those who knew him. We invite you to join us in celebrating John's life and honoring his memory.

The family will be receiving friends and relatives to gather in his memory Thursday June 27th from 6 to 8 PM at Edward H. McBride Funeral Home located at 2321 E Huntingdon St Philadelphia, PA 19125.
