John Schroeder passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at 9:47 a.m., surrounded by the family and friends he loved most. Having his loved ones by his side in his final moments was a reflection of the life he lived and the love he shared.

John had an incredible gift with his hands. He could build, repair, or create just about anything, and he never hesitated to use those talents to help others. His generosity, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

More than anything, John will be remembered for the way he loved. He loved deeply, welcomed everyone with an open heart, and made family and friends feel valued. To know John was to be loved by him.

John is survived by his beloved mother, Patricia Schroeder, 79, and his devoted daughter, Athena Schroeder, 20. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of compassion, generosity, and unconditional love will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service celebrating John's life will be held on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Edward H. McBride Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by John are welcome to attend.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
